Historic Trans Am Kicks Off the Season in the SVRA Vintage Classic
The Historic Trans Am (HTA) series roared into Sebring, Florida for the SVRA Vintage Classic on February 27th to kick off the 2020 season. In 2020, HTA is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1970 SCCA Trans-Am series which was the pinnacle of factory team involvement by the American automobile manufacturers.
The Sunday feature race was won by Bill Ockerlund in the AAR Cuda originally driven by Swede Savage and Dan Gurney. In second place was Jim Hague in the Bud Moore Boss Mustang originally driven by Peter Gregg. Finishing third was Richard Goldsmith in the Autodynamics Dodge Challenger originally driven by Sam Posey.
